What are the WCBD Program Platforms?
Education & Advocacy programming helps disseminate information and spark discussions about the black experience in medicine, and advocate for policies that support increasing diversity and inclusion at medical schools and hospitals across the country.
Mentorship programming includes outreach to college, secondary and primary school students of color to get them interested in medicine and equips current medical school applicants with the support they need to submit successful applications. Donations to this fund will support mentorship-based events, as well as the Future Physician Award scholarship.
Community Engagement programming centers on the unity principle of our mission; we aim bring black students and physicians together in order to build a network that spans the life of their medical careers.
